Modern State of Duplication Software

What’s the modern state of Mass Duplication software?

Specifically, I have a project coming up involving duplicating several hundred copies of a DVD.

I have no problem throwing four burners at the task. (In fact, I’ve got two computers that could host such a configuration, so perhaps 8 recorders).

I’m looking for software that will only read from the harddrive once for all 4 drives, and keep them in lockstep.

My initial inclination is to use Imgburn, but as I understand it, I’d need to run one instance for each recorder, and each instance would keep it’s own buffer and do it’s own disk i/o, making for a thrashing disaster trying to keep 4 recorders fed.

Ideas?

Buy a Duplicator, or a duplicator controler and go from there

Thanks for the suggestion, but that’s not really a good investment for my situation.

I’m only going to be doing this once or twice a year, and I’ve already got a stupidly powerful computer with a pair of recorders. Two recorders + (hopefully) free or cheap software is a much cheaper solution than the dedicated hardware you suggest.

Padus DiscJuggler can do what you need, but it isn’t free:

Hadn’t seen this one before. If it works 50 bucks is not a bad price.
Thanks packetloss

You are welcome.

DiscJuggler is an old school burning program, it has been around for ages. Very robust and reliable burning engine geared towards mass duplication.

Download the demo and see if you like the interface first before you think about a purchase. And remember that $50 is for the 2 drive license only, if you want to use more drives simultaniously, the license is more expensive,
