Mitsubishi (Verbatim) C2 errors

I’ve had a few Mitsubishi/Verbatim DataLifePlus CD-R discs burned in my Lite-On LTR-52246S 6S02 no more than two months ago come up with a few thousand C2 (yellow) errors in CD Speed recently. Is it normal? Is it that Lite-Ons don’t work well with the Super Azo DLP discs? Or could updating my firmware improve writing quality for future burns? Having similar problems with quite a few of my TY (mostly Fujifilm) discs.

You may just be burning them too fast. I recommend 40x for most media. Latest firmware is usualy the best for media compatability.

I just got about 170 C2s on a Fuji 48x TY disc burned at 40x.

Just updated to 6S0C from 6S02. Burned a 40x rated Fuji TY disc at 52x. No errors! (but it was only about 650MB) It seems like it may have made a difference.

A LiteOn 52x will reach about 50x when writing 650 MB
