My first experience with made in China MCC DVD media, not very good though i doubt country of origin has as much to do with the quality as CMC simply not being as good as it once was. Going by the hub serial, these discs were manufactured in September 2014.

Strangest CMC hub code I’ve ever seen. The disc was manufactured October 2, 2015.

Some of these Lite-On scans don’t even seem believable.

This is a very old disc, manufactured December 2, 2004. If I recall correctly that was the first year 16x media came out and likely the write strategy for the firmware was based on early samples like this. That probably explains the good burn quality.

Disc manufactured July 23, 2016. PIE isn’t the best but PIF looks good, perhaps CMC is still capable of making quality Mitusbishi media.

A now-rare Prodisc-made disc from I believe February 2006. Very good quality.
