Good for this media

Maybe you should try burning with an LG DVD writer at 8x? So far my LiteOn iHAS 124 W has not been a better writer than my ASUS DRW-24D5MT.

I will try next time

LG have a small selection of burning speeds but in my experience LG-writers are the best with specific media at 16x while other drives like Samsung getting much more worse at speeds above 12x

Get the 124 W as I bought 3 writers, two older IDE-LGs and a new 124, was a nice surprise that it´s no 124F but a 124W

The 122 W I had was one of the best writers I get in the last 7-8 years

Wow, at least for the LiteOn and Benq scan

Plextor scan is good too, that one PIF spike is when I foolishly selected the 716UF in CD Speed while the test was running.

The TA test looks not good

The first 2,7GB looks aweseome, but the end isn´t that good. 3rd disc of this media I´ve burned and the 1st with better quality-index than 0

unbelievable media in todays age

If it would be A-Grade, yes.

But this Datawrite-media have a weakness at the end of the disc. With better batches of MCC 003 you can have such results

which media in your opinion are A grade,

Verbatim sell MCC A-Grade.

Datawrite, Budget, Bulkpaq, Tuffdisc, Titanum, Esperanza are some brands which sold/sell lower grade media of some big manufacturers. I had media e.g. with Sony-/MCC-MID from these brands. In compare with orginal Sony/Verbatim-media these cheap media had higher error-rates, a bigger vary of quality, dye-problems and often bigger problems at the outer edge.
