#735

Samsung SH-S203B SB04, 3400MB burned at 6x
write strategy: MBIPG101 R05

brand: "Verbatim DVD+R 16x AZO"
MID: MCC 004
Dye Type: Metal Chelate, Advanced AZO+
Manufacturer: CMC Magnetics (Made in Taiwan)
Manufactured: December 24th, 2016

hub code: PAP6 79UL24235510 3
stamper code: ZE6383-DVR-T47D

#736

Samsung SH-S203B SB04, 3400MB burned at 8x
write strategy: CMC MAG M01

brand: "Verbatim DVD+R 16x AZO"
MID: MCC 004
Dye Type: Metal Chelate, Advanced AZO+
Manufacturer: CMC Magnetics (Made in Taiwan)
Manufactured: December 24th, 2016

hub code: PAP6 79UL24235508 1

#737

Samsung SH-S203B SB04, 3400MB burned at 8x
write strategy: SONY D21

brand: "Verbatim DVD+R 16x AZO"
MID: MCC 004
Dye Type: Metal Chelate, Advanced AZO+
Manufacturer: CMC Magnetics (Made in Taiwan)
Manufactured: December 24th, 2016

hub code: PAP6 79UL24235405 3
stamper code: ZE6383-DVR-T47D

Notes: I don’t like the PIE tsunami or the jitter but looking at BenQ PIF scan, it doesn’t look as bad as others. Of course the dye type of D21 was completely different so it’s not unexpected.
I decided to give up on write strategy swaps for this batch…

LG GH82N R204, 3400MB burned at 6x

brand: "Verbatim DVD+R 16x AZO"
MID: MCC 004
Dye Type: Metal Chelate, Advanced AZO+
Manufacturer: CMC Magnetics (Made in Taiwan)
Manufactured: December 24th, 2016

hub code: PAP6 79UL24235507 2
stamper code: ZE6383-DVR-T47D

Notes: Decided to try the LG, no improvement really except for less frequent PIF distribution. The PIF clusters butcher the burn.

#739

Samsung SH-S203B SB04, 3400MB burned at 8x
write strategy: MBIPG101 R05

brand: "Verbatim DVD+R 16x AZO"
MID: MCC 004
Dye Type: Metal Chelate, Advanced AZO+
Manufacturer: Moser Baer (Made in India)
Manufactured: December 9th, 2015

hub code: 5343 520 +R E A 25001
stamper code: ZE4929-DVR-T47D

Notes: I didn’t think I’d ever be saying this, but it appears MBI made MCC 004 produces higher quality burns in this case… (it’s still not good)

#740

Indeed, not that bad for newer MBI-made MCC 004, but still far away from older MCC 004.

Recently burned this media

Have to look when and who made it, media was bought some weeks ago from a friend, but my printable MCC-media was in the past always made by CMC

The 8x-burn looks much better than the 4x. But the high PIF at end of the 4x burn looks more like a media-problem
