Is 2017er MBI-made MCC 004 are so bad? The Benq is not the worst reader @8x

#717

I don’t know why it sees so much errors on some media, where other drives don’t.
On my Memorex MBI and Philips -R CMC the same.
Maybe caused by high jitter?

#718

Not sure, I have with some burns/media the problem that Benq reads it well, around Q-Score 90 and the Liteon showd Q 0

Have you burned some of them with a Pio or Samsung?

#719

With Pioneer and LiteOn

Samsung the next days

#720

That´s extremly different if you look at PI. But are the higher PI-values or the jitter the reason for this bad result?

But I think all results to bad for MCC 004, if you don´t get a bad batch of Ritek F1/F16 you would have much better results; also with Piodata -R

#721

Tried 2 times with the FB. These discs seem to vary a lot.

#722

That´s why I try to avoid all newer MBI-made DVD-media :\

#723

Thought they use Verbatim equipment at manufacturing…

#724

We could ask Verbatim

Older MBI-made Verbatim were not bad … but now …

#725

CMC made Verbatims are not much better these days. And Made In UAE by FTI seem to have disappeared. Only the expensive Dual Layer are still from UAE (and still very good).

#726

It seem Verbatim doesn’t care much about quality of their media anymore. The latest DVD-R I bough in may 2017 have MBI MID code. Some of the discs show pitting just few month after burning, one failed to finish the scanning process.

#727

Can´t say atm, all my CMC-made MCC-media is not new. But CMCs own SL-media works for me also still better than actual MSI.

Maybe I had luck with my Philips-branded AM3.

From all my newer media only TTH02 by FTI are similar, sometimes more worse
