Burned on an ND-3500AG with LD-V1 fw
You can see the PIE jump an the layer break. At that point it stopped for approx. 6 sec. then continued on my Toshiba standalone but no hesitation on my Apex. Is there a better firmware to use?

Layer break optimization issue ! Are you using Nero for DL :Z ?

Use a better burning program for DL (with layer break optimization !), as DVDDecrypter (free) for DL ISO image or CopyToDVD 3 (not free) in file mode.
Beware : CopyToDVD 3.0.xx as currently a layer break optimisation issue in ISO mode.

Using AnyDVD/CloneDVD ND-3500. Using latest LD firmware now, but I don’t have a movie that I want to blow a DL disc on yet. Want something long and good, maybe I’ll try Ray.
Behr: great looking burn! :iagree:

Recorded with LG GSA-4163B A104.

The quality is good considering the fact that this is DL.

AWESOME burn going until layer break, not bad even after break.

Are you kidding, that’s a great burn by any standard. Many of my SL disc burns don’t look that good!

Well, I don’t know a whole lot about this, as I’m still learning, but it just looks “not as good” as the rest. But it plays perfectly fine.

NEC ND-3500AG 2.TC , 7858 MB burned to disc

Used NEC 3500 Firmware 2.TC and scanned with a LiteOn 16P9S.
I have read that DVD-ROMs are not the best scanners, but it’s all that I got.

They look fine. Not outstanding, but you shouldn’t have any problems with them.

Media ID: MKM001
Sold as Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4X
Burned with DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 at 2.4X with BenQ 1620
Using firmware B7V9

Plays well on the computer and in my dvd player. I’m a little disappointed in the spikes near the end, but overall not terrible.

My first DL burn with my new BenQ 1640. Not too bad, have to admit it looks better than those from my ND-3500. Burned at 4x.

Verbatim DL +R MKM001 burnt at 4x on NEC 3500AG Liggy and Dee’s firmware 2.TG
Looks pretty good to me… better result than my 2.4x burns. Anyone has any idea why?? (not that I’m arguing or anything)
Looks like I will stick with the 4x burns for the time being. Too bad the 3500 doesnt burn DL faster than 4x.
