The Benq see POFs, but I´m sure it read the media without problems

Always when I burn a DL disc with the 224DB with 8x, the BenQ sees POFs in error scan. But not in extended error scan. And trt always is perfect.

Yep, that is why i don´t trust the Benq so much

I don’t know why it’s only with the DB and only with 8x writing speed. Strange

Happens to be with different writers and media. Some media is really bad or bad burned, but I have enough which works good at transferrate in the Benq and without problems in LiteOns

Something strange, the magic 172 POFs I have with 6 different media and 6 different writers

Uhm, that´s disappointing. I never tried to burn some of this old media on my newest LGs.

The “newest” drive I used with MKM 001 were Pioneer DVR-215 and LG GH22NS40, both worked well with this Sony-branded media.

I am not sure if I should blame the disc or the drive for the results. The disc was the last one from a spindle that I opened several years ago and was gathering dust.

Hm, had also sometimes problems with first/last of a spindle, could be.

If the Asus supports 2,4x I guess it have a optimised writing-strategy for this media; did it offer other writing-speeds?

No other speeds.

LG is always stingy with writing-speeds

Don´t tried it, but my Pioneer 215 offers 8x with MKM 001, LG GH22NS40 4x, Benq 1670 6x. But these drives are much older
