Can’t we already do this by having both devices on the same wireless network?

Basically a wireless HDMI protocol. But anyone who’s tried and failed to send HD video/audio over a wireless network knows that it’s a mixed bag at best.

Convenient - yes. But neither reliable or “high-end”.

I have no beefs with MiraCast but it sounds like another bureaucracy because “it’s not being done right in the first place, so let’s create a standard and a bureaucracy to manage it, with a logo and charge license fees.”

“Only then, all the pieces will work together…”

All the OTHER standards just don’t seem to work. We need new ones. We need more! Holy Firesign Theater, Batman…

And certainly more logos. Good grief - is that NASCAR or an HP notebook?

Oh well… at least it makes Windows 50% faster.
