Not surprising Microsoft has pulled the plug. Windows on ARM was never going to last.
It was intended to put Windows on tablets. But the writing was on the wall before Windows RT was even released, whenÂ Intel launched the first ofÂ their low-power Atom SoCÂ suitable for tablets & phones. An x86Â processorÂ withÂ the power to runÂ 'real' Windows, but ableÂ compete with ARM on power consumption, ment that Windows RT served no purpose.
