Microsoft has developed a solution that should make it easier and more convenient for Windows 10 users to purchase products and services online. It allows online retailers to access data from Microsoft accounts, so customers no longer have to manually fill in shipping and payment information.

online retailers only gain access to data after customers give permission.

Would that the a similar “permission” to when MS updated user computers without asking?

Safe to assume “easier shopping” is yet another euphemism for ‘more highly targeted marketing and tracking’.

I know I don’t usually say this, but I don’t think this has anything to do with Microsoft surveillance. Rather, this just seems like a rather ordinary auto-fill feature. I doubt it will pose any privacy risk (although it could pose a security risk if the wrong person gets physical access to the computer).
