I won’t be holding my breath waiting on the “Surface Phone.” One thing history shows is that MS has a wonderful talent for taking a great marketing plan and turning into an eff’ing disaster. What used to be a great cell phone company, Nokia, has been dragged down to a shadow of their former selves by MS. MS is lucky that they have such a legacy OS, otherwise they would be “teets up” at this point in time.

While I agree with UTR, I can see the benefit of this from a business standpoint as it also supports group policy and so means the company will have better control of what gets installed.

Of course, we know that there are ways to circumvent that, but not without breaking company policies and so may get you fired which would keep most from doing it…

Microsoft fans have been pinning their hopes on the Surface Phone being the savior of Windows Phone. If this is true and it won’t even be aimed towards the consumer market, they are going to be sorely disappointed.
