The main reason I haven't bought and BDs or BD-players is simply because I don't want to deal with the kind of malware I'll likely have to install to decode the DRM. On the plus side, the only time I've had to deal with ReadyPlay DRM was when I was about 10 years old (I'm now in my twenties). I ripped some audio CDs with Windows Media Player (in a "protected" WMA format), but couldn't play it in anything but Windows Media Player. Now, I don't use WMP, and rarely use WMA.
