Microsoft has pulled the plug on its music service Zune which now no longer offers music streams and downloads. The Zune service and Zune devices were revealed in 2006 and were once Microsoft's response to the iPod and iTunes but failed miserably.

Exactly the reason I do not buy anything with DRM shit embedded. Buying DRM contents is in reality only a lease until they go out of business. It could be years, sure... Do you feel lucky?
if you can't convert your drm'd purchases to clean files look else where. I am an audible member the first thing I do is to convert it to drm free chaptered mp3's, sorted
I too find DRM to be a strong reason to not use a service. I don't care how cheap or convenient a service is, if there's DRM, it's a complete deal breaker. Actually, it's not just a deal breaker, it's DealBreakingRubbish!
