then they wonder why people use dodgy copies, when why cost of the full office suite is nearly as much as the price of a full pc setup

Odd they come out with pricing but no release date?? Pricing is pointless if you don’t give a release date??? Plus 2007 already does all my needs but if I can get my hand on it sure but if not it’s no big lose…

OpenOffice.org has a simpler pricing structure with the academic, personal, and enterprise versions all at $0.

Still no Outlook in the entry level packages. Still no incentive to upgrade from Office 2003…

OpenOffice is just as good (some argue it’s better)! It can also save in MS formats (.doc & .docx).

Oh, did i mention that they sell it $0.00 USD?
