Microsoft patches actively targeted zero-day Word vulnerability

Over the weekend, a new previously undetected zero-day vulnerability was reported in Word, affecting all versions including Word 2016. The Cybersecurity firm Proofpoint discovered that this bug is being actively exploited by a large e-mail campaign.

Here’s the kicker…why are you opening documents you have no (&(*&( where they came from and were you expecting a email from such a sender? I doesn’t take a sanitation worker to know you don’t open email let alone documents attached from a unknown sender. And it doesn’t take more then a few lines to ask those on your email contact list did they send you a this email. Wish people stop the “click of death” and learn to step back and ask “whom sent this”? If you don’t know make Spam and delete and clear it out.
