Chrome and Firefox users can now also access the Microsoft Update Catalog. Previously the website could only be used by Internet Explorer as support for ActiveX was required for the catalog to properly function.

Good. I personally don’t like having to use an Explorer.exe window to update Windows, since one Explorer crash takes out all of Explorer. IMHO, Explorer.exe does way too much, and therefore has way too many things it could fail at.

I have no problems with IE11 as the Update Catalog.
