Microsoft has started to offer Windows 10 updates using a new method call the Unified Update Platform (UUP). This platform should make updating the OS more efficient because it only downloads the components that are required for a specific computer.

i suppose Microsuck is hoping that by doing things in this way, it will limit the number of computers it screws up in one go! there hasn’t been a single update recently that hasn’t done a damn site more damage than it has done corrections! whoever is in charge of this section at Microsuck needs to be thrown out on his/her ear, because they are no bloody good at the job!

The fact that your system has to download updates it doesn’t even need is laughable in this day and age. The updating system has gone backwards in Windows 10, not forwards. And that includes the upgrades where you have to perform a complete upgrade every time, not use the nice and simple service pack executable that we had before.
