It’s so wild to see these drives continue to get better & know that some of this performance will trickle down to other users in only a few years.

Great review, Jeremy.

Great review, but this is not a consumer SSD, its a great SSD but not for most of us.

Thanks Alan

Yes, it’s not a consumer SSD - it needs a serious level of IO activity to earn its keep. It does load games quickly, though

Yes but as always technology from the enterprise slowly, OK very slowly, finds it way to us  still that drive is a beast if you need that level of performance.

LOL, I am absolutely sure you’re right, combined with the rest needed in an ‘ultimate’ gaming rig, you would have a close to ‘zero waitstate’ experience - albeit an expensive one

Thank you, great review :flower:

I would bet in real life its not as fast as my Intel 750 1.2gb SSD.

There’s not much in it Alan (compared to my 750 400GB). It has faster sequentials.

For fun here’s what the Micron 9100 looks like in AS SSD -

Very impressive JR. Now if the price was as impressive as the statistics, I might be talked into getting one. But I just bought a 1.2TB Intel 750 for my new build and its pretty fast also, so I am going to stick with it, until they make something that will blow my Intel 750 out of the computer. LOL.
