Memory sticks: how many do you own?

Over the last six months or so, I’ve found myself picking up a new stick whenever I pop into Staples, and my mum’s even worse than I am for them

They’re so small and easy to carry around (and often very cute!) that I’m finding it’s easy to become addicted to buying them.

Which made me wonder…how many do you guys own, and what sizes are they?

The size of my sticks… isn’t that a personal question? :stuck_out_tongue:

Lemme see…

1 x 128 MB PNY
2 x 512 MB MicroMemory - One of which has died
1 x 512 MB SanDisk
1 x 2 GB SanDisk
1 x 2 GB Kingston
1 x 2 GB Philips
2 x 2 GB PreTec
1 x 2 GB Silicon Power
1 x 4 GB Transcend
1 x 4 GB Silicon Power
3 x 8 GB Silicon Power
3 x 8 GB A-Data
1 x 8 GB A-Data (super-fast SLC)

I might have forgot some.

And then there are the memory cards…

at the moment I have the following :stuck_out_tongue:

[ul]
[li]2x SanDisk 2 GB SD card
[/li][li]2x Dikom 2 GB SD card
[/li][li]1x Dikom 1 GB SD card
[/li][li]1x Verbatim 8 GB class 6
[/li][li]1x SanDisk Ultra 2 GB SD card class 4
[/li][li]1x Emtec 4 GB class 4 SD card
[/li][li]1x Kingston 1 GB USB pendrive
[/li][li]1x Kingston 1 GB USB pendrive with SD card reader embedded (I bought it because of the SD reader, but it became damaged after few weeks :Z)
[/li][li]1x Kentron 1 GB USB pendrive
[/li][li]1x SanDisk 512KB USB pendrive (my first pendrive )
[/li][li]1 x Corsair Voyager USB pendrive 16 GB (thanks to Seán )
[/li][/ul]

Lin must have so many she didn’t want to say until someone else has more than her me thinks

I have 3 sticks and 1 pocket.

ok how many do you have Lin?

[QUOTE=Bob;2297398]I have 3 sticks and 1 pocket.[/QUOTE] I guess that answers the ancient riddle of What has it gots in its pocketsesss, my preciousss?

Damn, and I thought Drage would be the only one with a lot

And knowing sizes is always fun, Drage

My collection is quite pitiful compared to you guys. Somehow I keep “losing” them to my mum and step-dad

Currently I have:

1x 2GB Maxell Mediadrive
1x 4GB Corsair Flash Voyager Mini
1x 2GB Kingston DataTraveler
1x 4GB Kingston DataTraveler 101

And since Geno mentioned SD cards, I have a dinky little 512MB SD card (lives in my Sammy S830 camera. Don’t need bigger 'cos I tend to dump stuff onto the PC as soon as I get chance).

See, pitiful.

This is from memory (pun intended):

USB Drives
1 - 1 GB (dead)
1 - 2 GB
1 - 4GB
1 - 8 GB
Several others that are too small to mess with

Flash memory cards
2 - 512 MB CF
2 - 1 GB CF
2 - 2 GB CF
1 - 4 GB CF
2 - 2 GB SD
2 - 8 GB SDHC

Definitely have the most pathetic flash collection here.

1 - 128MB [Bootable ‘Floppy’]
1 - 512MB [Sandisk]
1 - 2GB [Sony]
1 - 4GB [OCZ - Freebie from Newegg when I purchased my vidcard]

1 - 512MB CF
1 - 4GB CF

As handy as they are, most of them just sit around doing nothing.

1 - 2Gb Bytestor Flash Drive
1 - 4Gb Integral Flash Drive
1 - 8Gb PNY Optima Atacche Flash Drive
1 - 8Gb Class 2 Sandisk MicroSDHC
1 - 8Gb Class 6 Unbranded MicroSDHC
2 - 8Gb Class 6 Play MicroSDHC
2 - 8Gb Class 6 Transcend MicroSDHC in a MicroSD to Dual Pro Duo adapter (so it works as a 16Gb Pro Duo)
1 - 2Gb Magicgate compatable Sony Pro Duo

All the microSD cards I use in my collection of MicroSD to USB adapters. I have ten of those including some really tiny ones. I much prefer a microSD in an adapter to the standard bulky flash drives which I now consider old hat.

I claim the spot of most pathetic.

0 flash drives

2 - 1gb SD cards (Kingston and X Digital Media) for my camera

I do have one SD to USB adapter.

I thought size didn’t matter.

1 x 1GB
1 x 4GB
1 x 8GB
512MB card

Only people who have little ones say that.

(Sorry, couldn’t help that one!)

I have a son & daughter, but they ain’t little anymore.

Hehe GROAN

EDIT: Actually, talking about size. I’d quite like a 16 or 32GB one (just because!), but I have no idea how much I’d use one.

I use mine, mainly for transferring stuff from my PC to my mum’s, and also for mp3’s (I have a micro system in the kitchen which takes memory sticks, handier than CDs)…but even then I can’t even fill a 4GB stick, LOL.

1x 4GB Kingston DataTraveler (Purple)

Mainly use mine to drop Avi’s on and plug it into my Divx DvD player so I can watch them on my T.V.

I mostly likely going to need more because when I get my Oppp Blu-ray Player it has two USB ports and the new T.V. that I am looking at has one as well.

:cool::cool:

They have purple ones?!

I love my little red one, but I’d have preferred a purple one (my favourite colour!) - nice to know they exist

about 15 from 16GB to 512 MB

You’ll be severely punished by the ninja kittah :stuck_out_tongue:

1 x 2GB
3 x 1GB
1 x 256MB
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand…
2 x 64MB!!! (be gentle here, when I got them it was a major breakthrough) Still working, never used anymore!! Wonder why

They have purple ones?!

Yes, purple owns!!!

I once had an old recliner reupholstered in purple cloth, I really miss that chair.
