I just got my PS2 chipped and started backing up my games with Alcohol 120% and using Memorex 8x DVD-R. These discs just didn’t work on my PS2. It can’t read the backup discs. I don’t know if it is the discs, the burner (HP 630c) or the PS2? Anyone else try to use these discs for backup?

It’s possible that your PS2 doesn’t like that disc type (most likely CMCMAGAE1 ).
Have you gotten your PS2 backups to work when using a different type of DVD-R ?
