Had a hard time finding this as I was looking for the 3 pack… It’s really 3 single packs on back page of circular. Thier web site does not mention this sale YMMV with an online purchase because according to thier website my local store is out of stock anyway…

#3

Can you say slow… Well thats how Comps site is. :a
Nice find thanks.

#4

Looks like its RITEK…D01. Also I’ve read that its not a good media for NEC 3500. :frowning:

#5

It could be argued that it’s not good media in ANY drive. Certainly not consistant. Buyer beware. Personally, I would consider Verbatim DL a better value even at 2x the price.

#6

The local Comp USA store was out of the Memorex DL discs. Fortunately for me they subbed with a three pack of Verbatim discs. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

In Augusta, GA the 6 I got all show as Phillips-CD2-000 in DVDIdentifier.
1, 2.4x speeds.

Hmm, if DVD identifier is right then memorex is now getting their D/L from Phillips. the posts on video help were all dated 3-15-05 or earlier. I’m getting mine tomorrow.

#9

wish i had a compusa close to me…id purchase some

#10

For reference where are they made?

Guess I’ll hafta wander down there in da morning…

#11

Made in Taiwan. And this is for the individual packages, not the three-packs packages. The three packs ring up the regular price. The individual packs were on a separate display.

#12

My exhaustive review of these disks: Absolute sh*te.

3 for 3 coasters using both CloneDVD2 and Nero Recode (current version) with my BenQ1620. 2 bogged down at 50%, seemingly have a problem switching the layers. Did get a full burn with Nero but did not get past the FBI warning screen as confirmed in several other posts out there.

Thankfully only $12 wasted, not $30.

#13

Rule of thumb…Memorex = CRAP media.

#14

jmcn72,

thanks for relating your experience with these discs.

I will avoid them, and maybe buy discounted Verbatims instead.

#15

Agreed. I like Ritek G04 and a couple of the other single layered dyes but their D/L media is attrocious.
