Megan Media went bankrupt

Another recordable media manufacturer went bankrupt - this time a troubled Megan Media company with its subsidiaries Memory Tech and MJC from Malaysia. They were making media with MExxx and MJCxxx MID codes and their products were available in Europe e.g. under Emtec, Mitsubishi or JVC brands.
BTW their complete manufacturing equipment is available for sale, so if you are interested, you can get for example older complete 4M CD-R line for about 3900$ or Dr. Schwab’s offline scanner for 600$:p

That explains why I could no longer find MJC under the JVC brand in the states. JVC in the states is now all MIC. Thanks for the info.

Let’s hope Emtec switches back to FTI seeing that most of the current stock that I’m seeing is Megan.(MJC)

Here (in Slovakia) are CMC made Emtecs most common. But they are probably the worst available grade of CMC DVDs :Z.
Also fake MCC (Made in Macau) media are quite common, sometimes you can get also legit MCCs (CMC made), 16x Plasmons (unknown manufacturer, but distributed and printed by 3A Trading!!!) or MJCs.
