Medium not Present ERROR

Just to start things off, I’m new at burning DVD’s, and this is the first itme i’ve tried burning them.
Anyways, I open up ImgBurn and at the bottom it will always say "Device not ready (Medium not Present)
I’m using Maxell DVD-RW 4.7 GB DVD’s
And my DVD burner is a LITE-ON DVD+RW SOHW 802S
Can someone please help me!

Then this -RW are not suitable for your burner.

You could try to update the firmware or crossflash to an 832 model:

I have no clue what I’m doing (crossflash?) … does anyone want to help me step by step? I would seriously appreciate it.

Follow the link posted by chef and read the instructions.

Where is that link? I need those instructions too!!!
Thank you, Sveta.

I found it  But it looks so complicated :frowning:

Your problem is you are using Maxell DVD-RW and your DVD burner is a LITE-ON DVD+RW SOHW 802S

DVD-RW and DVD+RW dont mix well.

Get new dvd’s labeled DVD+RW. I reccomend TDK, Maxell, Verbatim, Pioneer, Ritek or Princo dvd’s because those are really quality dvds to burn to.

Princo :Z and quality? And McDonald’s is a gourmet restaurant
