Medium not allowed (Wrong CD) PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-115D

[qanda]This thread is about the Pioneer DVR-115D / DVR-1910. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I recently purchased what i believe is an awesome pc … well to people like me who are pc illiterate in a kinda way anyways ,:o

My problem … I can’t burn DVD’s I am using Nero 8 software
and it tells me the drive is capable of burning cd’s But it wont it keeps telling me i am using the wrong kind of discs . I know the solution has to be simple I just can’t work out WHY i cant burn DVD’s onto dvd-r or dvd+r discs but it says it can just won’t.

Please give some more of info regarding the make of your dvd recorder and what exactly it is that you are trying to do that’s not working. You are mentioning CDs at some point and then DVDs. COuld it be that you are trying to record DVD-video on CDs or something like that?

I wasn’t using the correct software to convert to disc I knew it had to be something I was doing wrong . Im a trial and error pc addict lol.
