I double clicked MKM001 and selected the strategy from MKM 003 which is good through 8X.
I believe that’s how I did it on the other drive as well.
Oh, and my sincere thanks for your reply!
EDIT: WAIT! There was this post from some years ago that may still matter… http://club.myce.com/f92/mediacodespeededit-support-benq-philips-dvd-writers-124905/index34.html#post1252468 [and a few posts later: http://club.myce.com/f92/mediacodespeededit-support-benq-philips-dvd-writers-124905/index35.html#post1257121]…Did you swap both MKM 001 entries? If not, try that, flash, do a full reboot (or a power cycle, if you want to be completely sure that it took), and try again.
[and this was the advice I wrote before stumbling across that post, in case trying the above doesn’t work…]
I wonder if lossy strategy swapping will work…
Rename the current MKM 001 strategies (it looks like there are two, for different revisions of MKM 001) to anything…renaming to MKM 002 will be fine. Then rename MKM 003 to MKM 001 (make sure you get the right revision! ), save, flash, and reboot (maybe do a full power cycle).
And be careful that you flash with the right file. Sometimes it’s the smallest of mistakes that trip us up. Or it could be a bug with MCSE. Who knows?
