For years, could burn cd,s without a problem. Suddenly, try to burn and message comes upthere is a power calibration error.Online attempts to get help from Maddog are useless. Any advice?
You have a Maddog hard drive? or a CD burner? What operating system do you use, what burning program, what computer specs?
From the specs, it’s a burner.
Power calibration errors are typically media related and are the result of generic/low grade media or unsupported media. Since you player is several years old, you likely need a firmware update. If a quality media or firmware update don’t resolve the problem, then it’s likely a failing burner. It is after all several years old already.
