Extended archival life - yeah right. Unless all manufacturers are forced to guaranteee with offers of full money back or replacement media in years to come of whatever is around, this means nothing. No one knows how long any of this media will last, even the top-flight stuff, and they will not guarantee it (or do they?) for 20-50 years, just meaningless statements about longevity - kinda like ‘awesome digital quality’ used in sound circles which means digital but has nothing to do with quality where audio is concerned.
