Where can you buy this Panasonic x6 speed BD-R ? Only available in 25Gb?
Thanks.

Add : found a link with various x6 BD-R from Panasonic http://homepage2.nifty.com/yss/bluray/bluray_6.htm

Never mind my post above. Found a seller on eBay Japan. But he only has 25G and not the 50G BD-R…

It will be interesting to compare the quality scan result of x2, x4 and x6 Panasonic BD-R.

At the moment I am buying the 4x single layer discs off ebay. They can be burnt at 4-6-8 and 10x on my Liteon. Results are all pretty solid from 4x-8x.

In my opinion, there’s no point buying the discs rated for 6x if the ones rated for 4x can be burned at higher speeds also.

Many spikes and most of them are in the range of 150-160.

This seems to be very interesting. I would even question whether the Lite-Ons are reporting these spikes correctly since they are never at the same spot.

The jitter increased. So burning at 4x seems to be the better choice.
I will do more tests in the next days

I was till now content with the Panasonic - but already the FE/TE-scan didn’t look too well (I stopped the scan since it took too long).

The scan with the PlexUtilities look much better - but errors were reported and the scanning speed was automatically reduced. And it seems so whether the program was restarting but not resetting (since the current position is in the middle of the disc and not >90%)

TRT with the burner looks normal

Same disc, same drive - but after a restart of the computer
