I just purchased a Fujitsu notebook with a DVD drive which happens to be the Matshita UJ-832S. I want to decode it but tried using multiple programs (DVD Region Free, Any DVD, DVD Region Killer) but can't get it to work. I have read that Matshita drives with model numbers XX-8xxx usually cannot be decoded. Is there any solution to this? Using software? Using firmware?
What do you mean by "decoded" ?What do you want to do with your drive?Play DVDs from all regions?
Yeah, that kind of MAtSHITa drives are $uckers in case you wanna play DVDs from different regions.
Try it with DVD43 and VideoLanClient - no real chance for a RPC-1 firmware if you ask me, because there isn't even ONE available.
Yes, I wanted to play dvds from all regions
chef.... thanks for the advice. DVD43 worked right away. Couldn't believe my eyes after having spent hours trying so many other programs. I really appreciate the help.
At least that's a partly success because others have reported similar success using DVD43 and VideoLanClient.Wow.
