I have the student version of Matlab 7.0.1 R14 (I've already read this thread for reference). As I use the program on a few different computers, one being a laptop, its really annoying having to carry around the CD in order for it to run. According to A-ray and a couple other programs, the protection is Safedisc 2/3. I've tried making an image with Alcohol 120 (v 1.9.5 2802) with a few different drives, one being an NEC 3540 (fw 1.4). Using the Alcohol and Daemon Tools emulators don't work - it just gives an error about the CD not being present (though it will install from the image). I also tried making a mini image but still to no avail. Is there some other way to get this? Do I need a better CD/DVD drive, or am I just SOL? Though the solution isn't absolutely necessary, it really pisses me off because the people that legally buy these programs are the ones who get screwed. Thanks for any help.
