If you hurry, you still can get a lifetime license through the Download Crew website.
BTW,if you have v2 RC1 installed,no need to upgrade,as the final and the RC are identical…

They sent me a daily Promo code that I think ended yesterday. I wont even use the Disk in the box, just the code that it came with.

Yeah, the software on these discs is usually outdated anyway…
I can understand that developers sell boxed software, but it’s only practical when the size is big enough to justify bandwidth saving…IMHO
Which is clearly not the case for MBAM…:disagree:

I just updated to v2.0 here. I’m glad I bought v1.0 for my PC and laptop just recently and that my existing lifetime license still applies.

My only concern is its revamped interface reminds me of the rogue antivirus products I’ve seen in the past, probably due to its glossy / 3D interface. Had it auto-updated itself to v2 and I not been aware of this version, I probably would have assumed I’ve been infected by a rogue antivirus product.

Not a fan of the UI. Not a fan of the “informational banners” that appear during a scan on the bottom. They are supposed to be educational but that type of thing annoys the heck out of me. They are the same as banner ads, IMHO. I also encountered a problem with the program not responding when I first opened it after installation and tweaking the settings. I was forced to shutdown/reboot my system to resolve it. Hasn’t happened again. I do think the UI and such is more sluggish than the v1.

v2 also flagged “roboot64.exe” in C:\Windows\System32 as malware on my system when the file is installed and signed by Raxco and used by one of their programs. I had to restore the file and set an exclusion. I’m not sure what the file does but removing it probably wasn’t useful.

Hi Alan

As your advice some days ago, i’d like to buy a lifetime licence of this software, but as i’m in Portugal i think i can´t buy it at these prices, because transport fees are expensive. Do you think i can buy it from Download Crew without boxed version? TIA :flower:

Hi zebadee

Yesterday i’ve bought a malwarebytes Pro lifetime licence from Download Crew website

After instal it, i upgraged it on malwarebytes site. All things seams to be fine, but my licence doesn’t say is a lifetime licence. Is this normal?

TIA :flower:

My assumption is that if you have a subscription/expiring license that it will indicate when it expires when you view the “My Account” page. I have an older lifetime license that I received for free when I purchased other software a number of years back and it merely displays when I activated MalwareBytes v2 like the image alan1476 previously posted.
