I have downloaded an mp4 file from YouTube and I want to convert it into a CD or DVD which will play on my TV’s DVD player. Please, can anyone advise me how to do this?

Fear Mor I’m sure you know the video quality of most YouTube videos is not going to be good.It also depends on you specific set top DVD player. The way I’m going to have you do this works on the 3 I have.
This is how I do this.
I use the YouTube Downloader available at YouTube site.
http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/
Connvert the URL with it .This will be a .flv file.
Then with the YouTube Downloader select Convert Video.
Put in the .flv you created then in the convert to pulldown choose Iphone Video(MPEG-4 MP4) if MP4 is what you want.
Convert to same folder.
Then use VSO DivxToDVD
Open the .MP4 in the Source File.Create a destination folder.A VIDEO_TS file will be created.
I create an empty AUDIO_TS it the same Folder as the VIDEO_TS .
Then put these in your DVD burning program.
I use CloneDVD2 but I’m sure most others would work.

The video I am trying to play on my home DVD player is at URL http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RtbOfIpJ4YU. I have the choice of downloading a .flv file (low quality) or a mp4 file (high quality). I downloaded the mp4 version and I want to convert it so that I can put it on a DVD or CD which will play in my home player.

Incidentally, the song is in Scottish Gaelic which is my native tongue.

Then try just this part of the instructions.

How did you download the YouTube video as a mp4?
I would be interested in getting the better quality .mp4 myself when I DL a YouTube video.
