Mac Xtreme Technology, a leading Mac maker of computer hardware components has unveiled its SATA MX-KATANA 6Gbps series of SSD modules. These feature the second generation SandForce controller and are capable of delivering up to 510MB/s read, 450MB/s write and a 4KB random IO performance of up to 60,000 IOPS.

All of the above … and all your hard earned money, and your first born son, and you second born son, and your first born daughter … and your wifes left arm and right leg.

MacBook air’s use a 1.8" Drive form factor, rather than the common (cheaper) 2.5" drive form factor.
