I have found that the "Scart in" socket also outputs the signal from the box but only in composite form but the scart out won't accept a signal in.
this can be helpful because the box dosen't force the telly in other words you need to use the TV remote to select the scart socket.
The reason for testing was I was in the guider getting ready to record and could see from the picture in the box a small copy of the Guider, this is similar to what happens when a TV outputs on pin 19 which feeds back to the source and gets added to the image e.g when watching the news ( especially BBC news when you get the bar with the reporters name in red and black)and you see anouther bar, this is ussually from the Tuner source (because most TVs respond to the scart as forced) so the telly is watching two sources and relaying a source to video.
This says to me that we need to disconnect pin 19 from the input scart to prevent this signal from being used
Any thoughts as to why the input scart is also an output ?
The board is the DMN8602 ( this unit gives RGB throughput)
