Don't be so stingy with the information. If you have Win2K/XP, they're not supposed to install IDE drivers, but some of the earlier versions did. In device manager, under the IDE controller, you want to see "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controller", and the driver should be the MS driver. If it's not, uninstall it and reboot, when it reports "found new hardware", make it search for the MS driver and choose it from the list. might help, might not, but the MS driver is the one to use anyway.
