I suspect something of this nature did indeed happen. However, when I used ltnflash the very first time, the progress bar stayed at 100 and then ltnflash apparently froze. I left it running for at least an hour with no other programs running. Eventually had to reboot. Subsequent times, the progress bar went quickly to 100 and then back to 0 just as quickly giving me a 'done' message even though it hadn't actually done anything. I kept it open a good 10 minutes anyway, to no avail.
ltnfw on the other hand, seemed to freeze when it got to 100, but finished up and gave me back control after about 15 seconds-resulting in a successful flash.
Very confusing, as I haven't been able to get ltnflash to repeat the behavior (not that I would want to).
