Is there a list somewhere that could show which PC drives support LTH media?

also can standalone players play LTH media?

All I could find is this rather brief list from Verbatim:http://www.verbatimcorp.com/userfiles/file/BDR_LTHCompatibility_2(1).pdf

But who stocks the LTH media and what’s the difference in price over a regular BD disc?

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/668161-REG/Verbatim_97090_25GB_2x_LTH_Type.html

1.95 per disc

for comparison

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/592757-REG/Verbatim_96769_BD_R_Blu_ray_Recordable_Disc.html

2.45 per disc (and thats after a huge sale)

at least it not some cheap ritek junk

But the UK misses out again as no stores seem to stock them yet !!

Thanks for the list, pepst. I was having trouble finding anything on this myself.
So does anyone have any (even anecdotal) data as to whether the non-LTH discs are any more reliable overall in the short term (post-burn verify etc) or longer-term?

Also: I sent an email to Oppo asking if the BDP-83 supports LTH BD-Rs, I’ll update here if and when I get a reply. I’m sure I’m not the only one around here who would love to have one of those. Maybe if someone here already has one they can answer this with first-hand experience.

LTH is not supported. This is something that has been requested but we do not know if it will ever become a part of the BDP-83 or BDP-80.
