I've already used Mr. Search, but can't find out if anyone has already determined the read offset of a JLMS XJ-HD166S DVD ROM drive. If anyone out there has it, I'd love to know.
Read offset for what? Excuse my lameness...
read setting for Exact Audio Copy (ripper)
Does anyone know why EAC doesn't dectect my XJ-HD166S DVD ROM drive?
It sees my 16x Plextor burner and it was ok with the Sony CD-Rom I had in the LiteOn's place.
EAC detects my 166S drive and works fine with it.
i 've determined the correct offset of my cdrom drive: an ATAPI 50x. Its offset is 106. I'm sure it is correct because ripping songs by using eac i obtain wav files with the same crc checksum of those ripped using the cd writer (yamaha crw2200 whose offset is 733)More over the two files are bit by bit identical. The strange problem is this: when i rip a cd image with eac using the atapi cd rom i obtain a wav files that differs from that ripped using the yamaha writer while single files ripped are identical. Which is the reason of this?
