Low Volume in Trascoded Movie

I recently transcoded Matrix Reloaded and the sound on the transcoded movie was a lot lower than that of the original. Could anybody tell me what the problem might be?

Whcih Option did you pick? Did you leave anything out or do the whole DVD?

Thanks for your reply.

I used DVD Decrypter in file mode. Afterwards I used the Clone DVD option in CloneDVD and didn’t leave anything out. Should I leave DTS audio out?

DVD Decrypter + CloneDVD is a good combo.

Audio tracks are not further reduced (I’m very sure) in any transcoder but there’s little sense in keeping DTS and AC3 Dolby 5.1

If you own the original, it also makes little sense to keep the extras as well.

Try dropping the DTS track and see what happens.

Try DVD Shrink as well, you can still write with CloneDVD

Thanks again.

Which one delivers the best quality, DVD Shrink or CloneDVD? I have found contradicting opinions in the forum.

Quality? IC8 is the best for quality, it seems. CloneDVD is “Working software for lazy people” while Shrink has a variable ratio tweaking feature described here!

Thanks for all your help
