Low Octave from PC?

Man . . . I’m baffled. The sound from my PC (not speakers) is about an octave or so lower than normal. My voice, movie voices, music . . . everything. It’s doesn’t play any slower, just lower.
I’ve updated all the sound card drivers and, of course, tried to find something in the control panel to no avail.
Any suggestions?
My PC was fine one day then bam. I thought it was some kind of virus but nothing else is affected.

Hi and Welcome!

have you already tried if the same happens if you use headphones?

Often, modern sound devices have equalizers and sound adjustments. You may have a look at this also, unless you’ve already done that.

I would consider trying a restore point in “System Restore” if all else fails.
