I’m searching for some Dual Layer media to store sensitive data/videos. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best kinds/brands to get? I want them to last. Also, are there any major differences between +/- media that I should look into?
And I tend to prefer + media, but that’s more personal preference than anything else.
Oh, and welcome to CDF
Jforsyth89, welcome to the forum!
There’s overwhelming evidence that Verbatim Dual/Double Layer DVD media is better than all other DL media currently available.
If you plan to play your Video discs in standalone DVD players, then the DVD+R DL media is much more widely compatible than the DVD-R DL media.
For data discs the difference is not as big, but personally I would use Single Layer media instead of Dual/Double Layer media for that purpose - SL media is less expensive and is easier and faster to both burn and read.
Thanks for the replies
