Looking for DVDRW to backup DVDs

Lately my BenQ 1640 has some problems reading certain DVDs .

Who can give me a hint , which burner I could buy to read out DVDs. It should be a reliant burner also, as I consider long term data safety very important.

Thx for any help!

Plextor 755 and 760 are pretty good DVD readers and burners but hard to find.Pioneer 112D is also pretty good in both fields and with some tweaking can be quite fast also.If you have a newer mainboard and can connect a SATA optical drive Samsung 203B is trully good in both reading and burning (correction in burning is OUTSTANDING) and has pretty good error correction DVD capabilities.

Thread moved from copy protection forum. Nowadays the drive isn’t as important as it was when most protected discs were CDs. Read our reviews at the frontpage, search the forum and buy your favourite dvdrw model.
