Too bad none of the stores have eve heard of TY media.
All we have of quality are expensive TDK, Philips and Maxell CD-Rs and even they are of unconstant quality from what I've read here.
Desparate to find ANY good media nowadays.
That's right. The "vendor- manufacturer" issue has been covered here ( and there ) many times.
It's not easy for common ppl to tell whether this particular media is made by TY or not,
unless you firstly open up the package and see what's inside, recognizing all the typical signs of TY
and secondly unless you determine the CDR's ATIP .
FYI, TDK can be made by TDK themselves (e.g. 97m32s05f), TY (97m 24s 01f), Ritek (97m 31s 01f)
Philips can be anything from CMC and Ritek to TY and Mitsui Toatsu.
Maxell - Hitachi Maxell ( 97m25s22f ), TY (97m 24s 01f), Ritek (97m15s17f).
The quality ratio of those can be varied from time to time or rather from manufacturer to manufacturer,
so that when bying e.g. "so called" TDK, there is no guarantee that you're gonna find the genuine TDK inside.
It's sorta hard to hold back my tears seeing you being so desperate about CDR media.
You don't consider expensive TDK, Maxell and Philips as good media nowadays, do you ?
Or is it just a matter of money ?
