ive got some ricohjpnd01 discs that are about 2 years old and still are fully readable they are ricoh branded ones. havent scanned any though.

That will depend on who makes them. I’ve had RICOHJPND01 that were made in Macau(Gigablock) that died in 1 year. I also have many Falcon RICOHJPND01 that are up to 4 years old and still play back fine.

My Falcon DVD9 Ricohs seem fine. Though my worst dvdr experience ever was Maxell branded RICOHJPN-R01-002. I had the dye go bad on the outer half at least 200 discs just sitting in cases on a storage shelf.

Luckily, the made in Macau stuff isn’t real Ricoh media, so it doesn’t count.
