All of this "we loose 10gazillion$ per year" is purely speculation based on downloading numbers. Now how on earth can you compare the two? I know that if it wasn't for piracy I probably wouldn't watch as many movies or play as many games as I do today, and I certainly wouldn't pay for as many. If I could afford to pay for all the movies/games I liked, I would, because I like to have retail copies of good movies/games, but I can't so instead I pirate many of the ones that aren't top-notch. Now this certainly doesn't equal stealing since I never would've or been able to pay for all of these. These big-ass companies have bigger incomes than ever before, and they only thing they lose (if they do at all) is their profit-margin. If they choose to put the weight on their workers to soften the blow, then that's their decision, and not my fault; the prices on games these days should certainly be enough to pay decent wages to every part of the production chain.
