I think at present I can't really go that much higher at least not by hundreds. & I think that's what I was looking at online. Yeah just rechecked couple of places and getting them in Ireland looks like it'd be a pain. ebay.ie only listed US & Canadian sources. Cheapest price in Ireland was twice what I'd be paying for the z-4s plus deliveryu whereas I could pick the others up.
Have mainly seen positive reviews of the Z-4s but did see some bad ones.
wanted to see what people thought from personal experience.
I just got the computer after a couple of years with a laptop, which was the first computer I personally owned & before that having to use cafes and university computer rooms. from the din from computer soundsopill in the computer rooms and the ability of the laptop to play music I'd assumed the tower would too. But haven't had previous experience with the creatures.
Have been wondering about sound output capacity of the AC97card/application. Being without speakers at all it crossed my mind that there was the possibility of going for 5.1 surround but for that I'd presumably need to introduce an actual sound card would I?
I've been looking around ebay for the last week or so for prices on units saw some that seemed to be pretty reasonable but I assume you get what you pay for.
So am wondering if putting out the 65Eur on z-4s is the best way to get somewhat decent sound for my living room on a budget. At the moment I'm definitely thinking less than 100Eur.
Had been thinking possibly cheaper still then upgrading but was seeing whatever cheaper units like the x-230 getting less positive reviews. Heard an x-240 yesterday as I walked around PCworld & could hear the bass seemed to be a bit prominent.
