Just recently when I would burn a disk, about 50% into the burn the buffer would start to decrease until it made its way down to 0%. After this happened the drive’s oarange light would turn on indicating that buffer-underun kicked in. The light would stay on for a minute or so but the buffer would not replenish itself. After this I the progran would tell me that the burn has failed and i got myself a new shinny coaster. Any help would be appretiated. I used CDRWin and Alcohol 120% and both give me this problem.
When I changed the drives control interface to the windows NT/2000/XP ATAPI/SCSI Control Interface in alcohol 120% from the recommended Default Device Control Interface, the burn was successful without any problems. I have no idea whats going on and how i can fix this in my other burning utilities.
