LiteOn lh A201P Reading Problems

Hello Everyone
I hope you guys can help me with my problem
Just Bought an LiteOn Lh A201P, and it burns ok, but it doesnt read my cd-r audio discs or dvds for squat :frowning:

Ive been searching for firmware , the firmware i got from the LiteOn Site will not recognize the drive and the EEprom Utility wont upgrade it either :frowning:

Help will be much appreciated, especially if i dont have to go through the hassle of gettin another drive :iagree:

Just tried flash utility, i already knew the flash size, but that doesnt work either, do you think i should hook it up to the same ide cable as the hard drive? or is it a definite firmware, drive problem? Iā€™m starting to think its an defective one :frowning: :frowning:
