Hello everybody. Took me a while but I decided this is the most appropriate forum to get feedback on a problem Im having.
In the beginning of the summer, I got myself a LDW-851S Liteon dvd-rw capable thingie. A good thing, and hasnt really caused me alot of problems during the year.
Now however, I got myself "The X-Files Movie" dvd, also includes this crap piece of PCFriendly and such. It plays well on my home cinema dvd player, without any problems (and that is about two years old now), but it causes problems on my computer. I got it running and such, but it seemed to have speicific problems during some chapters in the movie, that caused slight pauses and freezes for a second or two, in audio and video. DVD itself did some strange sounds during the time.
Then I checked from some other movies I had and it all worked well on these. Tried that dvd again, and the same.
Then I researched a bit, and decided to update firmware (hadnt done this before nor did I knew about the matter alot beforehand). Liteon websites (that are many) didnt give any assistance, but I found a firmware from these forums. Installed it, restarded. DVD was working, yet now it couldnt play this dvd at all.
When installing firmware originally it upgraded from GS0C to GC0K (I repeat, I have no idea about these firmware things), which caused problems. Then I installed that GC0K into GC0C version I got from this website (some edited upgrade or something, dont know). Now it plays about the same as originally, and I cant find a real solution to the problem.
Thank you for any assistance you can give me
